In a statement released by the institution, the biggest breakthrough made by the private investigators involved getting a lead that got a 29-year-old arrested.

The suspect has made his first appearance in court and has been charged for murder.

The university was pleased to share the news with the student community.

“We want to congratulate the private investigators and the police for successfully arresting the suspect and we hope justice will be served for Sandile and his family”

Ndlovu’s uncle, Tshepo Mokeona, who has been vocal about how the family feels also took to Twitter to share that “the suspect has been formally charged and bail has been denied”, he tweeted.

According to reports, Ndlovu’s cell phone and the weapon used during the fatal attack were recovered during the arrest.
