State Of Free State Address Has Been Disrupted By EFF

Mere minutes after Free State Premier Ace Magashule started delivering his state of the province address on Tuesday, EFF members had already started disrupting him.

Speaker Mamiki Qabethe had asked members of the EFF not to rise on points of order, saying the event was about addressing the province.

When they refused to listen, Qabethe had to call on security to forcibly remove the members from the Vista University Hall in Bloemfontein.

EFF members sang and chanted “Zupta must fall” as they initially did during the State of the Nation address last Thursday.

The party’s provincial chairperson, Kgotso Morapela, said he wanted to ensure that Magashule would not “lie to the people of the province” in his speech.

“We know he is going to lie to us today,” he said.

Morapela said Magashule and Zuma had relations with the Gupta family and forgot that the people of the Free State were unemployed.

“The whole ANC Cabinet is confused. We are not going to let one man ruin the province,” he said.
