[Sports] Arrow’s struggle for top 8 continues


Stve Kompela’s side, Golden Arrows shared the spoils with Bloemfountain Celtic after after playing 1-1 draw in a Absa Premiershhip match at Dr Molemela Stadium on Sunday.


In the first half of the game the visitors had the game in their hand but they could not salvage chances of goals they received.


After Lucky Baloyi and Kabelo Dlamini’s one-two move before the halftime, Celtic managed to get the back of the net.


Fans did not experience any difference in the second half, both teams did not have any new tactics for goal scoring opportunities.













After the 73rd minute replacement of Menzi Masuku by Tebogo Potsane, Arrows managed avoid defeat.


At Thoyoyandou Stadium on Saturday, Mwape Musonda scored a second half brace to lead Black Leopards to a 2-0 win over SuperSport United, while AmaZulu played a goalless draw with Highlands Park.


Meanwhile, the Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs suffered a defeat against Zesco United at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Zambia.


Losing by 3-1 affected Chief’s run for the CAF Confederation Cup. Their coach, Ernst Middrndrop complained about defence. However, he is confident that their CAF campaign is still alive.
