Who are we?  RadioDUT is the official in-house radio station of the Durban University of Technology (DUT). The mission of the radio station is to provide quality information and entertainment that speaks directly to the needs of the KZN student community.

Over the years our extensive presenter training programme has produced some of KZN’s best talents; J Sbu (East Coast Radio), Sfiso Kcay (Inanda FM) , Nolwazi Magwaza, Dj Heazy, Asante Chiliza & Sane Dlangamandla ( Gagasi FM)  Minnie & Tee ( East Coast Radio)   and  now it’s your turn to grab the mic and shine!


The 2019 Theme is  “GraduateYourCraft”. We’re looking for talented individuals to join our young, multitalented and ambitious team. RadioDUT’s main objective is to provide a platform that teaches individuals everything they need to know about the media industry by equipping them with skills that make them highly compatible for employment at prominent media houses.  If you think you are ready to graduate your craft , we are ready for you !

  • Reading and writing skills

There are 2 option you can use to enter:

1.Live Auditions : 

Live auditions will take place on the 28 & 29th of March at the RadioDUT studios between 10;00 am -15;00 daily. Our location is as follows: Durban University Open House Building , 5th Floor( above Standard bank , next to Chicken Licken)

2.Online Audition :

Send your  30 seconds demo to our WhatsApp Hotline : 084 970 3796. Don’t forget to include the number you wish us to contact you if  you qualify for the next round ( only if it’s not the number you used to send voice note). Online audition closes on the 15/03/2019. 

NB: If you are not a DUT student you will most likely be considered for a weekend show, weekday shows are specifically designed for DUT students only.
