The Host of Weekday show, Amp to Pm. Denmark Vee speaks to AKA about his new album “Touch My Blood.

Fans gathered outside studio for a quick selfie session with the hip hop star.

Amongst other trending topics, AKA spoke about the competition he hosted by his company where he offered an internship to the public.

AKA addressed some of the backlash surrounding the competition launched on twitter.

“The Touch My Blood challenge was basically a tender. We put out a tender on Instagram and twitter. There are so many talented people out here and young people really want an opportunity to express themselves,” says AKA.

The artist took to twitter last month calling on his fans to go up against his design team at Beam Group and design artwork for the cover.

At the time, he promised that the designer with the best artwork would not only win a year’s internship at his company, Beam Digital, but that their art would also be used as the cover of the album.

“I think it’s important to uplift and empower the youth, this was an opportunity for upcoming designers to design an image for the album. The guy who won produced the art for the back cover of the album and is currently interning with my company,” said AKA.

The album has sixteen tracks and features artists such as L-Tido and Anatii. The rapper plans to go on tour promoting his album in the country and overseas.
