Lectures suspended at all DUT’s Durban campuses.

Following yesterday’s strike, Durban University of Technology decided to suspend classes till further notice.

DUT management released a statement on Monday stating, “The decision was reached following renewed student protests in Durban whilst engagements between University Management and the SRC was taking place this morning.”

The statement revealed that whilst they (management) increased the security presence in Durban yesterday, student protestors still disrupted classes, intimidated staff and students and the protestors violated the rights of others, by publicly issuing threats against members of the DUT community.
