Student Governance & Dev

The Department of Student Governance and Development is a unit within the overall Student Services Department that includes Disability Right Unit, Radio DUT, and Saturday Tutorial Education Project (S.T.EP).

Services :

– We provide critical, high-quality support and interventions all students
– We provide a nurturing environment to students who are in leadership and those wishing to assume leadership.
– We advocate for the student with disabilities and providing support for disabled students.
– Our emphasis is on students to take leadership positions.
– Provide tutorial support for disadvantaged schools through STEP
– Promote student communication and engagement through Radio DUT
– Implement what they learn in class to real life circumstances
– Provide professional training, information and consultative service to ensure the development of student leaders
– We provide leadership development workshops and training seminars To prepare elected SRC members to assume their positions
