DUT hosts Dr Richard Maponya Institute Annual Entrepreneurship Workshop

The Dr Richard Maponya Institute together with Durban University of Technology hosted the Dr Richard Maponya Annual Dr Richard Maponya Entrepreneurship Workshop at Ritson Campus on Tuesday.

The purpose of this workshop is to bring understanding as to what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Introducing the “The Maponya Way” as the theme of the afternoon. This workshop is teaching the various young entrepreneurs.

“I hope this workshop helps and makes you grow in the business world,” said Dr Roy Maponya, CEO Maponya Institute. In addressing the participants he also mentioned how the institute prides itself in teaching the young entrepreneurs how to do business “the Maponya way”.

The panel of the day consisted of Dr Roy Maponya, Mr Thami Zondi and Mr Mfundo Shozi. Each facilitator shared their story to success and what they offer.

The event also included a dialogue session between the panel and the participants, this gave the facilitators the idea of what the young entrepreneurs had learned and what they would like to hear on the next workshop.

The workshop will happen again next year, date is yet to be confirmed.
