DUT Graphic Designers end the year in ‘high demand’

Third year and Btech graphic design student held their end of the year function and exhibition at City campus with the theme ‘high in demand’. The theme was based on them closing off the year by showcasing their work.

“We are about to get off this production-line (schooling), the first idea was ‘we are the product’ then I thought about how I can use that concept and interpret it visually and effectively. I thought of what is sold fast and always in demand, which are vending machines, vending machines are fast, on the go, limited amount of snacks, so I took the idea and combined it with the first idea,” said Zamajoko Makhoba, the mastermind behind the theme of the event. Zama also explained the theme is also behind the vending machine as it completes the visual of the idea

The artwork was nothing short of breath-taking and creative. Proud parents and lecturers were walking around and viewing the beautiful art pieces shortly before the award ceremony where students were the third years and btech students were awarded for their work. The HOD mentioned how proud he is for the 100% pass rate.
