[AbsaPrem] Kaizer Chiefs trashed Wits by 2-0

Kaizer Chiefs has managed to get their Absa Premiership campaign back on track following their victory against Bidvest Wits at Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday.

Amakhosi came to the game looking to restore their dignity after being beaten by Mamelodi Sundowns by 2-1 last Saturday.

Chiefs was tipped by both Sundowns and Orlando Pirates fans to beat the Students. Should they have lost, that would have been a disadvantage for the race of the Brazilians and Bucs.

Wits, who are on top of the log, had the game in their hands in the first half which caused the match to go into intervals with no goals.

Goals from Leonardo Castro and Hendrick Ekstein landed a victory to the Soweto side.

The league leaders’ coach Gavin Hunt expressed his dissatisfactions caused by a number of questionable decisions made by match officials.

“There’s not really much to say. I don’t want to say too much. It’s very disappointing the way the situation was handled,” Hunt told Supersport TV after the match

“So, there’s not really much to say. I don’t really want to say too much. I don’t want to talk about anything because I might just say something I shouldn’t say.”

Wits defeat saw them sitting on top of the table with only two points above second-place Pirates.
